KenyaBecause of the drought, crops fail and livestock die. Kenya’s population is suffering from hunger and thirst. An estimated 2.7 million people are afflicted by acute water shortages. People must walk for miles to reach water sources. Yet they are usually dried up or contaminated.
The majority of people in Kenya are now completely dependent on water from water tanks, which are installed in central locations.
Clean water is almost unavailable, or too expensive, in Kenya. We were able to distribute clean water to children and their families in four central areas in Kenya. When the truck broke down due to technical problems we were able to repair it speedily - thanks to our donors’ contributions - and continue with the project.
We provide people with fresh drinking water
