Liberia is a state on the West African Atlantic coast, bordering Sierra Leone, Guinea and the Ivory Coast. A 14-year civil war, which lasted until 2003, destroyed large parts of Liberia and thus, above all, the infrastructure of the economy.
Just as the country began to recover from the aftermath of the civil war, the next catastrophe followed: the outbreak of Ebola in March 2014. During this severe epidemic, more than 11,000 people died. With the establishment of a functioning health system and the support of survivors, a new beginning should now be made.
